Create your own Merch
When I say Merch, I’m talking about merchandise. In other words, you can create your own really awesome stuff online nowadays. For free. That just. Blows my mind!
I’ve been looking at a ton of websites lately to make my own shirts. Sometimes I just want a really geeky phrase to wear, or even make like beanies (those thug hats some people wear. that’s what they call them here, thug hats. so don’t judge!). Even mousepads. (who uses those anymore? I do!).
Actually, the real reason I’ve been looking harder into these kind of sites is because I’d like to eventually create something to bring in some money for my donation-based hosting project (more info on the donation-based hosting project).I haven’t finalized a logo yet, but when I do, that’s gonna go on a ton of products I’d like to make.
If you’re interested in making free stuff you can sell online, I’d highly suggest Zazzle.com, and Printfection. Note, that Printfection doesn’t work with PayPal at all, so if you want to buy, it’s with a credit card or debit card. If you want to sell, you’ll get your money through check. (or cheque, for those of you not in the states :3). Other than that, I love the store customization for Printfection.
But I’ll probably stick to Zazzle. Zazzle just seems like it has a lot more stuff, and of higher quality. Compared to Cafepress (another contender that was around before Zazzle, and still is), Zazzle makes more usable stuff, even promotional products, like business cards. I think they even have flyers. And besides, they do support PayPal, unlike Printfection.
Have any of you tried using any of these sites to create stuff? Or have you guys bought anything from these sites? I’d like to know from a reader’s perspective on how high the quality actually is. Oh, and before you mention it, Spreadshirt is awesome too. But they have a very limited color palette to use, and it’s a bit harder to design for. But to buy, they have some really awesome swag.
Again, let me know if any of you design for these sites. Or buy from these sights. Oh and I’ll actually write about my personal life soon. Crazy twist, eh?

Hey there! I didn’t get your email for some reason, but I added you to my affies just then :) Thanks for accepting.
Those sites sound awesome, I might look at them. I’ve been thinking of making my own wristbands for a while, but I’m not sure yet. I hope there are some of these sites that are Australian :) Thanks for sharing these sites.
